The best options in the Canary Islands for kids

Discovering the Canary Islands for kids is our aim in today’s article. Fun, fun, fun and more fun in a unique holiday.

What is the best thing we have created throughout our lives? Who are we most proud of for each of their small steps? What is the leitmotiv of improving, growing and maturing? We have no doubts, our sons (basic concept for our grandchildren or nephews and nieces). At Villa Mandi Golf & Resort we are delighted to introduce you to the Canary Islands for kids, a Padre Teide blockbuster that is full of excitement, fun, activities and magic.

Is our archipelago the ideal place to travel with the little ones? There is no doubt, the answer is a resounding yes. In the Canary Islands you can find good weather for outdoor activities, incredible beaches with no waves or currents so you don’t have to worry about anything while you rest, the best water park in the world, nature, zoos, etc. We could spend hours listing the possibilities that our islands offer for the youngest members of the family.

I hope you will allow us to digress, and let’s make it clear that we are going to focus our attention on Tenerife. The home of Villa Mandi Golf & Resort and the place where we can give you the best advice.

Beaches for children

There comes a point in our lives when we are slightly less adventurous, having young children in our care makes our priorities and tastes vary a little. When it comes to choosing a beach, we can’t go for the wildest one, the one that is difficult to access or the one that has no basic services nearby. We look for areas that are fully equipped and adapted for children in the Canary Islands.

Las Teresitas is a beach that meets all these requirements. It has lifeguards, trendy bars and restaurants at the top of the beach, access for pushchairs or people with disabilities and something very relevant: no waves. The beach has a breakwater that prevents the tide from reaching the shore with force, is ideal for children and is located in the capital of the island, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Playa del Camisón is located in the southern municipality of Arona. It is a place of many consecutive urban beaches full of services, restaurants, shops and everything you can imagine. Its waters are warm and its sand is white, with practically no waves. You can find water activities for a fee to share a moment of fun with the children. Everything you need for a day of sun and ocean.

Water parks and animal reserves

Siam Park and Loro Park are the two main attractions for any tourist visiting the island. The former is a water park, the best in the world for several years running, with rides, slides and fun galore. We couldn’t possibly go into every single thing it has to offer, but you can be sure of a great day out for the whole family. There are places inside the park for all ages, from very young children to adults. An artificial wave beach, a record-breaking vertical slide and shops and restaurants of all kinds.

Loro Park is an animal sanctuary with hundreds of different species and different shows where you will get to know all the animals of the planet in greater depth. Penguins, sharks, lions, flamingos, gorillas, meerkats… Children will learn about and see first-hand the kings and queens of the animal world. We can’t forget that there are other options of this type such as Jungle Park in the south of the island or Aqualand Costa Adeje. 4 unmissable options to give the little ones an unforgettable experience in Tenerife.
